Getting Started

Learn the basics of CADit and start creating 3D printable designs in your browser.

Welcome to CADit

CADit is a browser-based 3D modeling application for creating 3D printable designs. You draw 2D shapes on a canvas, and CADit automatically generates a 3D model that you can adjust and export.

No installation or CAD experience required. Open CADit in your browser and start designing.

The basic workflow

Creating a design in CADit follows four steps:

  1. Draw 2D shapes on the canvas using pen, shape, or brush tools
  2. View the 3D result in the preview panel as you draw
  3. Adjust 3D properties like height, sculpt, and twist to refine your model
  4. Export your design as an STL or 3MF file for 3D printing

The 2D and 3D panels update together in real time, so you can see how your changes affect the final model as you work.
