My Designs Dashboard

View, edit, and manage your saved CADit designs from the My Designs dashboard.

My designs dashboard

The My Designs dashboard displays all designs you have saved to your CADit account. From here you can view your designs, edit their details, open them in CADit, download files, and delete designs you no longer need.

Accessing the dashboard

  1. Log in to your CADit account
  2. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner
  3. Select My Designs from the dropdown menu

You can also navigate directly to cadit.app/dashboard.

Viewing your designs

The dashboard displays your designs as cards in a grid layout. Each card shows:

  • Thumbnail image: Preview of the design
  • Name and description: The design title and a brief description
  • Privacy status: Badge indicating whether the design is Public or Private
  • Design type: Badge showing the design type (CADit File, Script, GitHub Script, etc.)
  • Statistics: Creation date, number of opens, and number of likes

Filtering designs

Use the filter tabs at the top of the dashboard to show specific designs:

  • All: Shows all your designs
  • Public: Shows only designs visible to everyone
  • Private: Shows only designs visible to you

Each tab displays a count of how many designs match that filter.

Design actions

Each design card includes action buttons:

Edit

Click Edit to open the design editing page where you can update:

  • Design name
  • Description
  • Category
  • License
  • Primary image (thumbnail)
  • Additional gallery images
  • Privacy setting (Public or Private)
  • Source URL

For script-based designs, you can also edit the script files directly.

Open in CADit

Click the external link icon to open the design in the CADit editor. The design loads in a new browser tab.

Download

Click the download icon to save a copy of the design:

  • For CADit File designs: Downloads the .cadit project file
  • For GitHub Script designs: Downloads the repository as a ZIP file

Delete

Click the trash icon to delete a design. A confirmation dialog appears before deletion.

For regular designs, deletion removes the design and all associated files from your account.

For GitHub Script designs, deletion also removes or deprecates the associated GitHub repository and npm package. This affects other users who may have installed the package, so review the warning carefully before confirming.
