Eraser Tool
Remove parts of shapes by drawing over them with adjustable eraser sizes.
Eraser tool
The Eraser tool removes portions of shapes by drawing over them. Use it to refine drawings, create cutouts, or clean up overlapping shapes.
How to use
- Select the Eraser tool from the toolbar (or press E)
- Click and drag over the parts you want to remove
- Release to complete the erase action
The eraser removes material wherever it passes over existing shapes. A circular cursor shows the eraser size and position.
Eraser sizes
Adjust the eraser size from the context menu at the bottom of the screen. Three sizes are available:
| Size | Description |
|---|---|
| Small | Precise erasing for fine details |
| Medium | General-purpose erasing (default) |
| Large | Quick removal of larger areas |
To change the eraser size:
- Select the Eraser tool
- Click the eraser size option in the context menu
- Select Small, Medium, or Large
The selected size remains active until you change it.
Tips
- Tap once to erase a small circular area at the cursor position
- Drag slowly for more controlled erasing
- The eraser works through all overlapping shapes in its path
- When symmetry mode is enabled, the eraser mirrors your strokes across the symmetry line
- Use Ctrl/Cmd+Z to undo eraser strokes
